As a marketing associate at Small Giants, Liz provides strategic input for public relations efforts, social media, websites and proposals. With a background in journalism, she has a penchant for content writing. In addition to crafting press releases, blog, website and proposal content, Liz works with clients to produce branded content for local and national award submissions.
Liz also manages social media accounts by adding value beyond posting; she actively engages with clients’ top prospects and partners, tracks trends, writes branded messaging, and reports results and suggestions for clients. In addition to local and national retainer clients, she has led social media campaigns for regionals conferences, and uses targeted keywords and demographics to help clients manage paid social media advertising on Google AdWords, LinkedIn and Facebook.
Prior to Small Giants, Liz spent several years instructing journalism students in writing, reporting, interviewing and ethics. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Wyoming, where she actively wrote content for their news site and blog. Her master’s thesis studied how brands are framed by the media in newspaper reporting.
Liz is the chapter editor for the Colorado Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is an active member of the Colorado Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS); she is participating in SMPS Colorado’s 2018-2019 One2One mentoring program.
